DDC Shopian approves rent cases of different departments
Shopian: District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishy today chaired a meeting of Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) during which 8 rent cases of different departments were approved.
On the occasion, DDC Shopian, who is also chairman of the Committee, held a detailed discussion with officers of different departments that have hired private accommodation for their offices.
A total of 8 cases came up for discussion pertaining to different govt departments functioning from private buildings including Education, Social welfare, Handloom, Animal and Sheep Husbandry departments etc. After detailed deliberation, the Committee approved all the 8 cases.
The Committee discussed the fixation of rent of various structures in which various government offices are functioning across the district.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC asked the officers to pay rent dues to the concerned house/ land owners on time and ensure safety of the Government/rented property.
He further asked the intending authorities to pay the approved rent along with the arrear after the title verification certificate is issued from concerned Tehsildar.
Sachin Kumar stressed upon the officers to strictly avoid pendency in offices, adding that pendency always affects the efficiency of the work culture of the concerned officer.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Xen R&B, Assistant Director Planning, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Director CA&PD, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, AD handloom besides representative of Social Welfare department and other concerned departments.
