Anantnag police makes recoveries of banned medicines

Anantnag, Apr 16: Two persons were arrested on recovery of various banned medicines in different places of south-Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said.

They said that a person identified as Altaf Ahmed Ganie of Sichen Dialgam was apprehended at Pethbugh Dialgam and recovery of 120 tablets of Alprsafe, 88 capsules of Proxywel spas and 45 tablets of anxit made from his possession.

A case under relevant sections has been registered and further investigations taken up, they said.

In a similar sort of recovery, one Manzoor Ahmed Khan resident of Gopalpora Mattan was apprehended with 18 bottles of CODEDYL (codein phosphate) and 9 bottles of welcyrex besides a cash of rupees 5500 (sale) at KP road in the district.

A case under relevant sections registered has been taken up and further investigations set in motion, they added. (GNS)
