Militants Attack Guard Post Of NC Leader In Shopian Village

Shopian: Militants attacked guard post of National Conference leader Showkat Hussain Ganai at Chitragam village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

A police officer confirmed the militant attack to NC leader’s guard post and said that the alert sentry retaliated the militant fire and there was no loss of life or property.

The incident according to locals took place at around 4:30 am while the exchange of fire continued for 20 minutes.

Army early today conducted searches in the village.
