Srinagar: Amid Covid-19 safety measures in place, the annual examinations for Class 10th students conducted by Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education started on Wednesday.

Board has already advised students suffering from Covid-19 infection not to appear in the said examinations.

“We will conduct examination for the infected students separately. They just need to inform the BOSE with proper biodata and medical certificate,” Chairperson BOSE Veena Pandita told news agency KNT.

She said Covid-19 infected students need not to worry.

“Their precious year will not go waste. We will conduct examination for them next time,” she said.

Divulging information about the Class 10th examinations, Veena Pandita said that 74,465 students from Kashmir and 32,000 from Jammu are expected to appear for the examination.

“We have made proper arrangements for the students. Inspection squads will inspect the examination centres,” she said heating arrangements plus SOPs will be in place.

She said almost every examination centre was fumigated and medical teams were deployed outside centres for screening.

Pertinently, BOSE has announced 40% relaxation in syllabus for the annual examination due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. (KNT)
