Police arrested Al-Badr militant, two OGW’s in Sopore

Sopore: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested one Al-Badr militant along with his two associates during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Warpora area in Sopore town in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

News Agency KNO quoting Police Official identified the militant as Ishfaq Ahmad Pandith, Son of Rayees Ahmad Pandith, a resident of Bunpora Dangerpora Sopore along with his two associates Abdul Majeed Dar, Son of Abdul Rashid Dar and Mubashir Ahmad Dar, Son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar, both residents of Dangerpora Sopore. Adding they were involved in a grenade throwing incident on Police Post at Warpora Sopore.

A case under FIR number 237/2020 has been registered in Police Station Sopore. Further investigation is in progress, he added.
