Four militants killed in Shopian encounter
Shopian: Four militants were killed in an encounter between government forces and militants at Amshipora village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning.
The identification and affiliation of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, government forces including J&K Police, Army’s 62 RR and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation in the village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
