Two critically injured in bear attack in Anantnag
Srinagar, Jul 02: Two persons including a woman were critically injured in a bear attack at Gudol area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Thursday evening.
Official sources told GNS that a wild bear attacked two persons outside their houses in Gudol Kharpora area this evening.
Identifying the injured as, Abdul Rashid (47) and Hajira Begum (45) both residents of Gudol Kharpora, the sources said that the former was evacuated to sub-district hospital Kokernag and latter to Government Medical College Anantnag.
However condition of Abdul Rashid is said to be critical, the official said.
Meanwhile a Wildlife official told GNS that three teams have been deputed to the area to tranquilize the beast. (GNS)
