Militants attack patrolling party in Awantipora

Srinagar: Suspected militants opened fire on a patrolling party of government forces in south Kashmir on Wednesday, but there was no report of any casualty.

The militants opened fire at the patrolling party at Barsoo in the Awantipora police district around 2.30 pm, a police official said, adding that no one was hurt in the incident.

Joint forces have cordoned off the area and launched a hunt for the attackers.
