Pulwama Police Intensifies Anti-Drug Campaign; Awareness Programme Held at Lasipora Litter

Pulwama, Feb 19: Pulwama Police organised an awareness programme on drug abuse at Lasipora Litter as part of its continued drive to build a drug-free society and safeguard youth from the menace of narcotics.

The programme witnessed participation of local youth and community members.

Officers highlighted the social, psychological and legal consequences of substance abuse and stressed the importance of early prevention and strong community-police coordination in tackling drug-related activities.

Participants were also sensitised about the stringent provisions of the NDPS Act and the zero-tolerance approach against drug peddlers.

Pulwama Police urged parents and community leaders to guide youngsters towards positive activities and reiterated that combating drug abuse is a collective responsibility, appealing to the public to share credible information regarding drug trafficking with the nearest police establishment.
