Pulwama Police Arrests Two Drug Peddlers; Contraband Recovered, FIR Registered
Pulwama, Feb 1: Pulwama Police achieved a significant success against drug trafficking by recovering a huge quantity of contraband substance during naka checking at village Murran.
A naka party of Police Station Pulwama intercepted two suspicious persons during routine checking. On search, Charas choora-like substance weighing 5.671 Kgs was recovered from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Sheikh S/o Siraj-ud-Din Sheikh and Aamir Ahmad Darzi S/o Ab Hamid Darzi, both residents of Murran, Pulwama.
In this connection, FIR No. 15/2026 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama. Further investigation is underway to trace the source and forward linkages.
Pulwama Police remains steadfast in its resolve to eliminate the drug menace from the district.
