CT Scan Functional at Sheeren Bagh Hospital; Only Injector Under Repair
Srinagar, Jan 30: Contrary to reports suggesting that diagnostic services have been hit due to a defunct CT Scan machine at the Super Speciality Hospital, Sheeren Bagh, hospital authorities have clarified that the CT Scan machine is fully functional and routine diagnostic work is being carried out as usual.
Officials said that only a small accessory injector attached to the CT Scan unit has developed a technical fault, which has affected less than 2% of total work done carried out on a daily basis which include angiography procedures only. However, contrast, non-contrast and routine CT scans are being conducted regularly without interruption.
According to hospital sources, the issue with the injector has already been reported to the concerned technical agency,TBS and necessary steps are underway to restore it at the earliest. They added that patient care has not been halted and essential diagnostic services continue to be provided.
The authorities further stated that claims of patients being turned away in large numbers due to a complete shutdown of CT services are misleading, as the core CT machine remains operational.
Hospital management reiterated its commitment to patient care and assured that any minor technical issues would be addressed promptly to ensure uninterrupted diagnostic facilities.
