Pulwama Police Continue Anti-Drug Drive; Contraband Substance Recovered; Accused Arrested
Pulwama, Jan 15: Continuing its relentless drive against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, Pulwama Police today achieved another success during naka checking at Circular Road near Tahab Chowk.
During the naka operation, one person was intercepted by the naka party. Upon thorough search, the following contraband substances were recovered from his possession: Cannabis (charas choora-like substance) weighing 413.50 grams along with polythene, Charas (01 stick) weighing 36.5 grams along with polythene, Charas powder weighing 70 grams along with polythene. The accused disclosed his identity as Bilal Ahmad Ganaie, son of Bashir Ahmad Ganaie, resident of Chatapora.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 08/2026 under relevant sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at the concerned Police Station and investigation has been taken up.
