Anantnag Police registers FIR against hotel for violating Immigration and Foreigners Act

ANANTNAG (KIMS) — Anantnag Police on Thursday registered an FIR against a hotel in Pahalgam for allegedly accommodating two Thai nationals without submitting the mandatory Form C.

During routine inspections of hotels and guest accommodations in the Rafting Point area, a team from Police Station Pahalgam conducted checks to verify compliance with legal and security regulations.

Police said it was found that Hotel Golden Heritage, located at Rafting Point Yenner, had accommodated two foreign nationals but deliberately concealed their stay and failed to submit the Form C online, as required for reporting and registration of foreign nationals.

The act, police said, amounts to a violation of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, which mandates strict reporting and registration of foreign guests by all hotels and accommodation establishments.

Accordingly, FIR No. 79/2025 under Sections 8 and 23(b) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025 has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam, and further investigation is underway.

Anantnag Police urged all hotel and accommodation providers to adhere to the prescribed procedures without fail. — (KIMS)
