Where Is Imran Khan? Family and Supporters Raise Alarm Amid Rumours
Concerns are growing over the condition of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan after his family and supporters claimed they have lost all contact with him inside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
The situation intensified as unverified rumours spread on social media, suggesting he may have been tortured and is in critical condition — claims the authorities have not addressed publicly.
In a letter to Punjab Police Chief Usman Anwar, Khan’s three sisters said the assault carried out on them and PTI supporters outside the jail was “brutal, organised and deliberate.” They demanded an impartial investigation into the police action and urged authorities to allow them access to their brother.
PTI leaders also said they have no information about Khan’s health or security. They accused the Punjab police and jail administration of withholding updates, adding to the uncertainty.
The Punjab government has not issued any detailed statement on his condition. Officials have only dismissed the rumours as “political propaganda,” but have not shown any recent evidence of Khan’s wellbeing.
As the silence continues, pressure is rising on the authorities to make a public clarification, allow a medical evaluation, and grant the family access to Imran Khan to settle the questions surrounding his safety.
