Bunera Camp (55 RR) Holds Interaction With Pulwama Traders, Warns Against Fake Army-Related Scams
Pulwama, Nov 16: Bonera Camp of the 55 Rashtriya Rifles on Sunday held an interaction with shopkeepers and trade members of Pulwama town to strengthen coordination and address concerns over fraudulent activities being carried out in the name of the Army.
Major Amit Sabharwal told the gathering that some individuals have been attempting to run scams using the name of Bonera Camp with the intent to tarnish the Army’s image. He urged traders to stay alert and report any such past or future incidents to him directly.
He shared his personal contact number with the attendees and assured that Bonera Camp stands firmly with the people of Pulwama and will never harass any civilian. He also made it clear that the Army does not seek money from civilians under any circumstances.
Over 100 traders and shopkeepers participated in the meeting, during which various issues were discussed in detail. Major Sabharwal stressed that any attempt to misuse the Army’s name for monetary or illegal purposes must be reported immediately to the camp.
Traders welcomed the initiative, calling it a positive step toward strengthening trust and cooperation between the Army and the local business community.
