Two terrorists killed in infiltration bid in Keran Sector, operation underway: Army
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces after the Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, the Army said on Saturday.
Indian Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps, in a post on X, said the joint operation was launched on November 7 based on specific intelligence inputs from agencies regarding an infiltration attempt in the Keran Sector.
Alert troops spotted suspicious movement and challenged the infiltrators, who open indiscriminate fire, it said.
“Two terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing operation. Search of the area in progress,” it added. — (KIMS)
