Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit by Motorcycle Near DC Office Pulwama

Pulwama, Oct 8: A woman was critically injured on Tuesday after being hit by a motorcycle near the DC Office Pulwama in south Kashmir.

According to eyewitnesses, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01AJ-5407 was moving at high speed when it struck a woman identified as Bilkeesa Hamid resident of Midora Tral, who was attempting to cross the road. The impact was so severe that both the pedestrian and the rider fell onto the road, drawing immediate attention from nearby pedestrians and shopkeepers.

The injured woman was quickly rushed to the District Hospital Pulwama, where doctors described her condition as critical. The motorcycle rider also sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

Soon after the incident, police reached the spot and seized the vehicle. An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of the accident, while efforts are underway to identify the injured woman.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is in progress.
