Spirit of Udaan Shines in Handwara — ANN News Ignites Hope and Ambition Among Students

 

Handwara, October 6, 2026 — The third edition of Udaan: Umeed Ki Kiran, a youth empowerment and motivational programme jointly organized by Parwaaz Academy and ANN News, was held today at Hill Grange Secondary School, Handwara. The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 200 enthusiastic students taking part in interactive sessions, competitions, and motivational talks aimed at building confidence and leadership among the youth.

 

 

The programme was graced by distinguished guests including SSP Handwara, ADC Handwara, Tehsildar Handwara, CEO Education, and Principal of Hill Grange Secondary School.

 

Addressing the young participants, SSP Handwara emphasized the importance of discipline, education, and self-belief.

“Youth are the strength of our society. You must dream big, stay away from negativity, and work hard to make Kashmir a land of peace and progress,” he said, inspiring loud applause from the students.

ADC Handwara appreciated the efforts of ANN News and Parwaaz Academy for creating a meaningful platform for students.

“Udaan is not just a programme; it’s a movement that gives direction to young minds. Initiatives like this are shaping a better future,” he added.

The Principal of Hill Grange Secondary School extended gratitude to the organizers, calling the event “a refreshing opportunity for students to showcase their hidden talents and learn beyond classrooms.”

 

Many students expressed how Udaan changed their perception about confidence and career building.
Aisha, a Class 10 student, said:

“This was my first time speaking on stage. I was nervous at first, but the session helped me overcome my fear. I now believe I can achieve anything.”

Bilal Ahmad, another participant, said: “It’s not just about speeches or activities; it’s about believing in yourself. Thank you ANN News for bringing such programmes to Handwara.”

 

Udaan: Umeed Ki Kiran is a flagship youth initiative by Parwaaz Academy and ANN News, designed to empower students across Jammu and Kashmir. Through motivation, creativity, and positive storytelling, Udaan aims to guide young minds toward education, career awareness, and national development.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of participation certificates among students. The next Udaan programme is expected to be held soon in another district, continuing its mission to inspire hope and ambition in the Valley’s youth.
