Students from Girls Higher-Secondary School Noorpora Visited Police Station Awantipora

Police Awantipora today organised a visit of Students Government Girl Higher Secondary School Noorpora Awantipora to Police Station Awantipora.The aim of the the programme was to familiarise the students with the working of Police. SDPO Awantipora along with
SHO Police Station Awantipora Inspector Ajaz Hmad briefed the students about the police station work including CCTNS also about the role of police in the society, Cyber Crime and New Criminal Laws.
The participating students were given the idea about Police Department, its Ranks, functioning and Policing etc also were shown the various establishments and their day to day working in the Police Department.
Participants were briefed about various types of cyber threats/crimes such as identity theft, credit card fraud, data stealing, cyber stalking, OTP frauds, online gaming fraud etc.
Besides during the session, officers elucidated the nuances of the new laws, providing clarity on their implications and emphasizing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for the maintenance of law and order.
Participating students appreciated the role of Police Department and desired to organise such kind of awareness programmes in future to bridge the gap and understand role of Police in many better ways. The students have expressed their gratitude for the police department for such programmes.
