BJP to Contest Vacant Seats, Awaits Centre’s Decision on Future Plans: Ashok Koul
He said a previous notification for elections coincided with the Pahalgam incident, which may have led to a delay in the process. “We feel the elections were held back due to that event, but both seats are likely to go for polls in the next phase,” Koul said.
According to KNS, Koul said, “First, the National Conference should get its own allies on board. When their partners support them, then others will think about it. Why are they looking for the BJP if their own coalition is not united?”
Regarding the upcoming Independence Day, he dismissed reports about a proposed Tiranga rally, clarifying that the BJP would act as per the Centre’s directions. “August 15 is the day of freedom. Our workers will actively participate in government programs in every district and sub-division,” he said.(KNS)
