ZEE5 to Launch Free Ad‑Supported FAST Channels in India, Partnering with Amagi
ZEE5 is set to launch Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels in India, aiming to expand its presence within the Connected TV market.
The streaming service is collaborating with Amagi Media Labs Ltd., a provider of cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and streaming TV, for this initiative.
The upcoming FAST channels will offer a curated selection of content, including movies and series across genres such as comedy, drama, horror, and cult classics.
This move by ZEE5 is intended to provide accessible entertainment options to India’s digital audience. The launch of these channels is expected to bolster ZEE5’s Connected TV viewership by offering a free-to-watch entertainment destination with continuous access to various shows and films.
The new ZEE5 channels are scheduled to go live in August 2025, which is next month.
