Kashmir Braces for Season’s Hottest Day as Srinagar Touches 30°C by 9 AM

In a significant spike in temperatures, Srinagar city recorded a scorching 30.0°C at just 9:00 a.m., setting the tone for what is expected to be the hottest day of the season across the Kashmir Valley.

According to the Meteorological Department, mercury levels are likely to soar further as the day progresses, with heatwave-like conditions in several districts. People have been advised to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak hours, and take necessary precautions, especially children and the elderly.

This intense heat comes amid a prolonged dry spell, with no significant rainfall predicted in the coming days. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, urging residents to remain alert and follow safety advisories.
