CCIK Hails J&K Bank MD & CEO for Extending Special OTS Scheme

Srinagar, July 3: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) has welcomed the Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s decision to extend the deadline for its Special One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme by two months, now valid until September 1, 2025.

In a statement issued today, CCIK President Tariq Ghani appreciated the responsiveness of J&K Bank, particularly the leadership of Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee, for acknowledging the challenges faced by business owners and taking timely action.

Ghani said the extension comes as a major relief to the business community, which is still recovering from recent economic setbacks, including the April 22 incident in Pahalgam that adversely impacted the tourism sector.

He also expressed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Chief Minister, and other senior officials who facilitated the decision. Ghani added that such proactive measures restore confidence among small and medium businesses, especially in the hospitality sector, and help ease financial stress.

“The business fraternity is thankful for this much-needed step, which brings significant relief to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
