Srinagar Man Arrested for Circulating Forged CIK Documents: Case Filed

In a secret operation on 24.06.2025, CI Kashmirrounded up a fraudster Bilal Ahmad Rather S/O Abdul Samad Rather originally, a resident of 157-Allochi Bagh and presently residing at Zakura, HazratbalSrinagar for using a forged document of CI Kashmir under the signatures of SSP CI Kashmir for vested interests.

In the special operation, the said person was questioned and on preliminary examination and analysis of his Mobile device, the forged letter (enquiry notice) in question was found available in his Cell phone and same was retrieved. Bilal Ahmad Rather confessed that he has forged the enquiry notice to grab the money collected by him from different individuals.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accordingly, the said person was handed over to P/S Zakoora Srinagar for taking necessary legal action. In this regard, P/S Zakura has registered a case FIR No  39/2025 U/S 318(4), 336(3), 336(4), 340(1) BNS, Bilal Ahmad has been arrested and investigation is in progress.

The general public is advised to remain cautious and report any such fraudulent act to the nearest Police Station for legal action.
