Awami Durbar held at Achgoza
PULWAMA, FEBRUARY 11: District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer along with district officers today conducted an Awami Durbar at Achgoza village to register grievances of the people in the area.
During the Durbar scores of people from Achgoza and adjoining villages apprised, the DDC with their grievances, demands and issues of public importance.
A delegation from Achgoza village put forth various and demaned including adequate electricity and water supply, up-gradation of school ,establishment of PHC, veterinary unit, separate horticulture and agricultural units, and up-gradation of playground ,replacement of poles, improvement of LT and HT Network, construction of bridge and protection bund on Nallah Romshi and repair of road from Achgoza to High school in the area.
Delegation from Sangerwani and Bamnoo demanded solar lights, construction of culverts, de-silting of Ushmal Khul, construction of foot bridges and Tribal Higher Secondary School, Anganwadi Centre, Health Centre, registration under Ayushmaan Bharat Scheme, repair of Bamnoo- Chowan Road and replacement of water pipes in their areas.
Similarly, the residents of Lasidaban and Abhama demanded separate Panchayat Halqa, Construction of Bonkhah Bridge, Receiving Station, Water Filtration Plant, Horticulture Zone and macdamization of inner roads in their areas.
On the occasion, a Medical Camp was also organized by Block Medical Office Rajpora and a stall was also installed by Department of Handicrafts exhibiting various articles and artifacts.
Later, DDC distributed Golden Cards under Ayushmaan Bharat Scheme among various beneficiaries and Baby Kits among mothers of new born girl child under BBBP.
Responding to the demands of the people, the DDC assured that all their genuine issues and grievances will be addressed on priority.
The DDC said that District Administration has already taken imitative of reaching out to people to redress their grievances and fulfill their demands.
