Three Terrorists Killed Shopian Encounter, Ops On

Shopian, May 13 (JKNS): Three terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in the Keller area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday morning.

Police sources told news agency JKNS that the operation began after security forces received intelligence about terrorist presence in the area.

A tight cordon was established, and during the search operation, forces came under fire, triggering a fierce gunfight, they said.

“Three terrorists have been neutralized so far,” police sources said, adding that the operation is still underway and the area remains under tight cordon.

Reinforcements have been deployed, and searches are continuing in the area to ensure no other terrorist is hiding, they said.
