MAGAM, Budgam – In response to recent misinformation circulating online, the Community Health Centre (CHC) Magam has firmly refuted claims of inadequate facilities and limited services, asserting its commitment to providing round-the-clock, comprehensive healthcare to residents.

 

 

 

Amid misleading social media posts, including a viral video falsely alleging a lack of essential medical infrastructure at CHC Magam, hospital authorities and local residents have united to counter the claims, emphasizing the center’s fully operational services and 24/7 availability.

 

 

 

 

Block Medical Officer (BMO) Magam, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, addressed the controversy, clarifying that while CHC Magam functions as a Community Health Centre—not a Sub-District Hospital (SDH)—it is fully equipped to handle diverse medical needs. “These allegations are entirely baseless. Our teams work tirelessly to ensure patients receive quality care, from emergency services to specialized treatments,” Dr. Mir stated.

 

 

 

 

The hospital boasts functional departments in General Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Emergency Care, alongside diagnostic facilities such as ultrasound, X-ray, and laboratory testing. Staff highlighted the center’s role in managing critical cases, including maternal healthcare and trauma interventions, with referrals streamlined for advanced treatments when necessary.

 

 

 

Local residents echoed support for the facility, noting its reliability. “CHC Magam has been a lifeline for our community. The staff is dedicated, and services like deliveries, diagnostics, and emergency care are consistently available,” said a longtime resident.
