Kangan: In a swift and decisive action, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagar arrested Mohammad Ashraf Malik, a computer operator at the Gund Kangan Block Development Office (BDO), for accepting a bribe of ₹3,000 from a local individual. The bribe was demanded in exchange for uploading information related to the MGNREGA scheme.
The ACB team, acting on a complaint, set a trap and successfully caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe. He was immediately taken into custody, and further investigations are underway to uncover any additional instances of corruption in the office.
