Multiple Flights Cancelled at Srinagar Airport Amid Heavy Snowfall

Srinagar, Dec 28   Several flights scheduled to operate from Srinagar Airport were cancelled on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions caused by heavy snowfall in the Kashmir Valley. The cancellations have disrupted travel plans for many passengers.

IndiGo Airlines announced the cancellation of eight flights citing the prevailing weather conditions. IndiGo Airlines announced the cancellation of eight flights, including 6E 2221 (Srinagar-Delhi), 6E 6165 (Srinagar-Amritsar), 6E 262 (Srinagar-Chandigarh), 6E 2044 (Srinagar-Jammu), 6E 6266 (Srinagar-Ahmedabad), 6E 6498 (Srinagar-Bengaluru), 6E 6255 (Srinagar-Hyderabad), and 6E 2449 (Srinagar-Delhi). The move comes as snowfall continues to disrupt air travel and road connectivity across the Valley.

The move comes in the wake of heavy snowfall across the Kashmir, which has not only impacted air traffic but also led to disruptions on key highways, including the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Airport authorities advised passengers to stay in touch with airlines for updated schedules and rescheduling options.
