Motorcycle used in militant activities attached under UAPA in Handwara
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Acting firmly against terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached a motorcycle used for carrying out militant activities under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in Handwara town of Kupwara district on Monday.
Jammu and Kashmir Police aattached a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK05L-7265 under the provisions of Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
“The order for attachment was issued in connection with case FIR No. 198/2024 of Police Station Handwara registered under Sections 7/25 IA Act, 13, 23, 18, 38, 39 of UAPA 1967, and Section 4 of the Explosives Act following the approval of administration,” police said in a statement.
“During the investigation, it was established that the said motorcycle was used for carrying out militant activities and represents proceeds of terrorism,” the statement said.
“This decisive action underscores the commitment of Police to disrupt terror networks and ensure the safety and security of the district,” the statement added. — (KIMS)
