Srinagar Police arrests two drug peddlers, contraband substances recovered
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Srinagar district of Kashmir valley on Monday and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
“Two persons identified as Asif Mehdi, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Malik and Faisal Haroon, son of Irfan Haroon — both residents of Rakh Arth Bemina Srinagar, roaming suspiciously in Multi Level Car Parking in Sheik Bagh Lal Chowk were intercepted by a team of Police Station Maisuma. They tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully,” police said in a statement.
“During search, Charas like substance wrapped in maize cover sticks and 200 grams of open Charas like substance concealed in two jute-matting bags were recovered from their possession,” the statement said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 28/2024 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Maisuma and further investigation has been initiated. — (KIMS)
