Two inter-district narco smugglers held in Udhampur, 17.67 gms heroin seized
JAMMU (KIMS) — While continuing its campaign against Drugs and Narcotics, Jammu and Kashmir Police achieved a success by recovering 17.67 grams of Contraband Heroin like substance at Naka Point Tikri (NHW) in Udhampur district and arrested two Inter-district narco smugglers.
“A vehicle (Tavera) bearing Registration Number JK01S 8557, coming from Jammu towards Kashmir valley was made to stop by a Police team of Police Post Tikri led by its ICPP during a routine vehicle checking at Naka Point Tikri. During frisking of the pessengers/driver of the said vehicle, 17.67 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from two narco smugglers (passengers) who were smuggling the above contraband in the said vehicle,” police said in a statement.
“Both the narco smugglers identified as Abid Hussain, son of Peer Siraj Din of Soaf Shalli, Anantnag and Mohsin Mohi Din, son of Ghulam Mohi Din of New Colony Anantnag have been arrested on spot,” the statement said.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 248/2024 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation of the case has been taken up. — (KIMS)
