Anantnag Police Intensifies Crackdown on Drug Trafficking: Notorious Drug Peddler Arrested, Significant Seizure Made

Anantnag, December 5, 2024:

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Anantnag Police apprehended a notorious drug peddler during a naka (checkpoint) operation at Nowshara crossing. The accused, identified as Mohd Amin Zargar, son-in-law of Gh Hassan Ganie and resident of Sirhama, was found in possession of approximately 2.9 kilograms of a cannabis substance.

The arrest was made by the team from Srigufwara Police Station. A case has been registered under FIR No. 97/2024 at Police Station Srigufwara, under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. An investigation is underway, and further legal action will follow.
