Man Dies Of Cardaic Arrest Amid Cross LoC Shelling In Mendhar
Poonch, July 20: A person on Saturday died of cardaic arrest amid cross LoC shelling between Indo-Pak armies in Poonch district.
Reports reaching GNS said that the man Manzoor Hussain (60) son of Jumma Hussain, a resident of Dheri Dabsi died due to heart attack.
Confirming the death, SDPO Poonch Neeraj Padyar told GNS that the villager received a major heart attack after a mortar shell landed near his residential house.
Earlier, naib-Sarpanch Zaffar-ul-llah Khan has received injuries after some shells fired by Pakistan landed near the residential areas and is undergoing treatment in a local hospital.
A police officer earlier had told GNS that “at about 0900 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation while resorting to firing by small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC in Mendhar sector, while adding that Army soldiers manning the LoC retaliated strongly.” (GNS)
