Animal Husbandry organizes training session for CAH officers

  JAMMU, JULY 06: A training session was organized for of all Chief Animal Husbandry Officers and subordinates officers of the Jammu Division held under the chairmanship of Director Animal Husbandry Jammu.

 The training was imparted by the M/S Oriental Insurance Company through M/S  HIBL (Hindustan Insurance Brokers Ltd.) regarding insurance cover of Milch Cattle and Buffaloes of Jammu division as per the guidelines of the scheme, for 7500 animals during 2019-20 session.

Modalities of Insurance of Livestock and identification of the beneficiaries under APL, BPL, SC & ST categories where in subsidy ranging from 50% to 80% is provided by state and central government were discussed in the meeting.

The officers were advised to speed up the process of selection of MAITRI`S so that A.I. activities could be given boost in Jammu Division to increase milk production and income of the farmers to make them self sufficient.
