Teenage Girl Jumps Into River Jhelum In Pulwama, Rescued
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — A teenage girl jumped into river Jhelum in Kakapora area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir on Wednesday, however timely action by locals and police saved her from drowning.
Sources said, a girl (name withheld) about 16-years-old tried to commit suicide by jumping into river Jhelum in Kakapora area of Pulwama district on Wednesday.
Soon after the incident, the locals along with Jammu and Kashmir Police swung into action and timely saved her from drowning, they said.
She was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Kakapora for treatment where her condition is stated to be stable. — (KIMS)
