Journalists Beaten In Bijbehara While Performing Their Professional Duties

Anantnag, June 27: Photo journalists were beaten by locals at Waghama village in Bijbehara town of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

The photojournalists were beaten when they were performing their professional duties at Waghama village during funeral procession of a slain militant Aadil Ahmad Das.

Locals at Waghama thrashed Srinagar Observer Bureau Chief South Raouf Dar and damaged his phone.

Another photojournalist Faisal Bashir was also thrashed.

Raouf Dar said, “I was covering funeral of slain militant Aadil Ahmad Das at Waghama, some people came and thrashed me and damaged my phone.”
