Encounter Breaks Out In Shopian Village, Internet Service Shut

Shopian: An encounter broke out between government forces and militants on Sunday morning at Daramdora area of Keegam village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

As per reports 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.

Earlier, government forces including 44 RR, SOG and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation (CASO) in Daramdora area of Keegam following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
