Kashmir Hockey Academy organizes Guru HargobindHockey Tournament 2023
Jagjit Club Uplina beat Badal Club 6-3

Kashmir Hockey J&K organized Guru Hargobind Hockey tournament 2023 at the Polo ground in Srinagar on Thursday.
Twenty hockey teams participated in the said tournament and Jagjit Club Uplina finally beat Badal Club 6-3 in a tough contest.
Jenab. Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani presided over the tournament as the chief guest and encouraged all the players with his eloquent speech during the introduction. He has been a national hockey player and former captain of the J&K hockey team.
Addressing the players, he said that that it is a great pleasure that this tournament has been organized in the name of the 6th Guru of Sikhs Sri Hargobind Sahib Ji who is the founder of Miri Piri conceptual principles of the Sikhs.
“We all should follow the theoretical teachings of Guru Sahib in our real life as well,” said he.
Congratulating the winners, Mr. Wani appreciated the children lauding that they are all performing very well at the school level and the same way, they are supposed to continue at inter-college level.
He said that in future, “they will all get to see the competition at the Polo Ground at the international level too”.
Mr. Wani further expressed his great satisfaction that the children are performing the hockey tournament in their complete ‘Sikhi Saroop‘ which is the real identity of Sikhs.
J&K Sports Council has also in-collaborated with J&K Hockey in conducting this hockey tournament.
On this occasion, Raviraj Singh, RP Singh, Shakir Ahmed, Avtar Singh and other prominent personalities were present. EOM
