Initiates Basti Sampark Abhiyan to strengthen grassroots connectivity
Jammu September 30 Priya Sethi, a National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),Social Media Prabhari BJP J&K and former Minister, conducted a Basti Sampark Abhiyan in the East Constituency today, shedding light on the various schemes initiated by the Modi government for the upliftment of weaker sections of society.
During the campaign, Priya Sethi emphasized the government’s commitment to the welfare of marginalized communities and the transformative impact of several key schemes on the lives of millions.
She was accompanied by Anju Dogra Secratary BJP Chaman Angral,
Ranju Sharma, Arun Sethi, Suresh Bharti Rajesh Dogra and others.
Former minister reiterated the Modi Government’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the weaker sections of society through a series of transformative welfare schemes.
She asserted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has consistently prioritized the welfare and empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities across the nation. Through an array of targeted initiatives, the BJP-led government has sought to bring about meaningful change and inclusivity in all sectors of society, she added.
The former minister highlighted some of the pivotal schemes and programs that exemplify the government’s dedication to the upliftment of weaker sections like Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in which free ration were provided to over 80 crore people, Jal Jeevan Mission which has been instrumental in providing clean drinking water to households across the nation, with over 12 crore connections allocated under this mission.
The One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme has benefited 3.5 crore families every month, enabling seamless access to subsidized food grains, even when migrating across states. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has approved 3 crore urban and rural housing units, making homeownership a reality for millions. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, over 9.5 crore LPG connections have been provided to economically disadvantaged households, reducing the health hazards associated with traditional cooking methods. The recent reduction in LPG cylinder has eased the burden on beneficiaries.
“The government’s COVID-19 Vaccination Drive has administered 220 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses, safeguarding citizens from the pandemic’s impact. The Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana has seen 29.75 crore people availing the benefits of this insurance scheme. Over 23.19 crore beneficiaries have received healthcare coverage of up to ?5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, ensuring access to quality medical treatment. The Jan Aushadhi Stores initiative has seen 9,300 stores opened, providing affordable medicines to the masses. PM Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram has provided health services to 1.37 crore children, ensuring their well-being. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, over 11.72 crore toilets have been constructed, improving sanitation and hygiene in rural areas,” she said.
She emphasized the importance of this initiative in strengthening the BJP’s connect with the masses. He stated, “The Party believed in the power of grassroots democracy. The Basti Sampark Abhiyan is a testament to our commitment to being the party of the people. We want to hear their voices, understand their needs, and work tirelessly to fulfill their aspirations.”
She called upon all party leaders, workers, and volunteers to actively participate in the Basti Sampark Abhiyan and make it a resounding success. He reiterated the party’s dedication to the principles of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” and its relentless pursuit of a prosperous and united India.
