2 Women Dead, 3 Injured In Rajouri Road Accident
Jammu, June 15(KNS): Two women were killed while three other, including a child including a child sustained injured after a vehicle plunged into a gorge in the Targai Budhal area Rajouri in Jammu region.
An official said that the incident occurred when a vehicle carrying five people, including two women, two men, and a child, veered off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Targai Budhal area. The car involved in the accident was an Alto with the registration number JK11F-8759, he said.
“Upon receiving the news, local volunteers and the police swiftly arrived at the scene to initiate a rescue operation. Unfortunately, two women lost their lives immediately, while the three injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Subsequently, two of the injured were shifted to GMC Rajouri for advanced medical treatment,” he added.
The official said that the deceased have been identified as Ishah Jajan, aged 40 and wife of Mohammad Nazir, and Shenaz Akhter, wife of Mohammad Altaf Shah. The injured individuals are Ayoub Shah, a 50-year-old son of Ghulam Nabi Shah, Mohammad Akbar Shah, a 65-year-old son of Mehndi Shah, and a 10-month-old girl child.
