JK To Get More 200 MBBS Seats
Srinagar: There is more good news for aspiring doctors as he state government is to get more 200 seats, of which 100 will be available for economically weaker sections of students who have qualified NEET.
Officials sources said that the those students who have qualified NEET will be allotted these two hundred seats which have been sanctioned recently.
“From this year, admissions for these seats will take place as the orders for the increase in seats will be issued within few days,” sources said.
Of the two hundreds seats, 100 will be kept for economically weaker sections of the students and the remaining 100 will be for other categories including general category, officials said.
These 200 seats will be in addition to the already allotted 900 seats for the state.
The officials said those seats who have qualified NEET last months will be eligible for these 200 seats.
With the allotment of these 200 seats, the cut down for NEET for MBBS seats will likely decrease.
