Unidentified man found hanging from tree in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 18 : An unidentified man was found hanging from a tree at Al-Maroof Colony area of Ahmadnagar in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Dot Com that one unidentified man believed to be of Gujjar community was found hanging on a tree at Al-Maroof Colony here.

A police officer confirmed the incident and said the body of the man was spotted by some locals of the area and accordingly informed the police. A police team was immediately sent on the spot and took the body into their possession for medico-legal formalities, he said, adding that the identification of the man was being ascertained.

A case under relevant section of law is being registered in this regard and further investigation is going on, he added. (KDC)
