Govt attaches CMO Budgam after female staffer’s compliant

Srinagar, Oct 19: J&K Government has attached Medical Officer Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussain after a female staffer filed a complaint against him.

The Health Department has received several other complaints against Dr Tajamul.

The order reads that recently a complaint against Dr. Tajamul was received by administrative department from the female staff of Medical Profession “and the contents of the complaint reveal that he has not changed his attitudinal tendencies.”

 


The order issued by Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) reads that in view of multiple complaints and non-compliance of the orders shown by Dr Tajamul Hussain and pending inquiry into the matter, CMO Budgam is attached with the office of Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal.

As per the order, the enquiry committee has recommended that “Dr. Tajamul Hussain needs to be directed to change his attitudinal tendencies in the interest of administration being a Government servant meant for the public at large and patient care in particular.”

 

 

 

 The inquiry has been initiated on the directions of administrative department. Dr Tajamul is facing various allegations for which enquiry committee has been set up.

One of the complaints say that he has fraudulently drawn excess 7th pay commission Arrears to the tune of 11.50 lakh and credited into his GP fund account whereas only 3.50 lacs were due to him when he was posted at CMO Bandipora.

“In view of multiple complaints and non-compliance of the orders shown by Dr Tajamul Hussain I/C CMO Budgam and pending inquiry into the matter Dr Tajamul Hussain I/C CMO Budgam is hereby attached with the office of Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal (sic),” reads the order.

District Health Officer Budgam Dr. Lahoot Hasan  has been directed to look after the routine work of the Chief Medical Officer Budgam till proper arrangements are made by the Government in this behalf.
