One dead, two injured after avalanche hits Doda in Jammu and kashmir

Doda: Avalanche struck a village in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, resulting into death of one person and injuries to two others.

Reports said three employees of PHE department were buried under the debris of the avalanche at Kote Bhanecha area, about 12 KM, from Gandoh Sub Division, when they were working to restore water supply line feeding Azad Mohalla Soti.

The deceased was identified as Farooq Ahmed son of Ahamdulla resident of Changa Bala, Bhallesa. The injured were identified as Lal Singh and Mohd Aslam — both residents of Changa Bala, Bhallesa.
