84 Bn CRPF organises “Free Medical Camp” at Kud Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MAY 12: 84 Bn CRPF organised a day long Free Medical Camp here today at Govt Higher Secondary School Kud, Udhampur. The Camp was attended by approximately 250 needy villagers, including elderly persons, women and children.
The participants were attended by Dr Anu Gorke SMO/DC 84 Bn and Dr Manish Rundla MO/AC 137 Bn. The locals were provided free Medical Treatment and medicines during the camp.
The Camp was inaugurated by N Ranbir Singh Commandant 84 Bn.
Speaking after inauguration, he stated that CRPF is entrusted with the responsibilities of Internal Security of the large and diverse country, India. Therefore, CRPF is deployed across the length and breadth of the country. He highlighted the glorious history of CRPF and its paramount contribution in nation building. He also highlighted the various initiatives taken up by the CRPF and reiterated CRPF’s unflinching commitment towards the welfare and well-being of the local people.
84 Bn CRPF is deployed in J&K, with all of its Coys in Ramban and Udhampur. The Unit is securing a stretch of more than 45 km of NH 44, which is the major lifeline to the Kashmir valley.
Besides rendering its services of securing the Nation, CRPF also carries out social outreach program to augment its connect with the local populace. It is with this objective that 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, is organizing the program at Govt Higher Secondary School Kud, Udhampur, as the people in the area do not have easy access to good healthcare facilities.
Vikram Singh Second in Command, Rishi Parashar Asstt Cdt, Y Darpan Singh Asstt Cdt of 84 Bn, officers and personnel of 84 Bn, Insp Umesh Thakur SHO Kud, Kuldeep Raj ex Sarpanch Kud, Bidia Sagar ex Ward member Kud and Sapna ex Ward member Kud were also present during the function.
