8.61 gms of heroin and cash Rs 46,000 along with other material recovered by Police station Satwari Jammu. One peddler arrested.
Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 8.61 grams of heroin from an accused near Babliana Road Jeevan Nagar area in the jurisdictions of PS Satwari.
A police team of PS Satwari constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and led by SHO PS Satwari Inspector Sameer Jeelani assisted by PSI Sandeep Kumar while on naka duty near Babliana Road Jeevan Nagar area rounded up a suspect who behaved suspiciously on seeing police teams. On search, 8.61 grams of heroin, cash Rs 46000 and 1 electronic weighing machine was recovered from him.
In this regard a case FIR No. 56/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered in PS Satwari and accused got arrested. Accused arrested has been identified as Choudhury Asif Ali S/o Nazir Ahmed R/o Langotian R.S Pura Jammu
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
