72nd Independence Day Celebrated At Anantnag

Anantnag: 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at South Kashmir’s Anantnag district today and the main function was held at Dak Banglow, Anantnag where Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younus Mailk hoisted the flag and took salute at the march pass of IRP, JKP, CRPF, Home Guard and Schools etc.

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younus Malik was Chief Guest on this occasion.

MLC Sofi Yousuf, DIG South Kashmir Amit Kumar, SSP Anantnag Altaf Khan, 1st RR Commandant, 90BN CRPF Commandant, 94BN CRPF Commandant were also present in this occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammed Younis Malik, congratulated the people on the eve of Independence Day and recalled the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle of the country.

Various developmental initiatives taken by the government and those to be taken were also highlighted.

The march pass was followed by a colourful cultural program presented by the students of various schools.

Later, Deupty Commissioner Anantnag distributed prizes & troffies among winners who participated in the event on this special occasion.
