50-year-old man found hanging in Kakapora Pulwama

Pulwama: A 50-year-old man identified as Abdul Gani Dar was found hanging from a tree near his residence in Laribal village in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The deceased man is father of four children (three sons and one daughter).

Quoting an official news agency Kashmir News Observer reported that “It seems that he has committed suicide but we have started investigation into the case,” adding “a police team has taken body into their custody and after all legal formalities, the body will be handed over to his family”.

Pertinently, on 02 April this year, an encounter took place at his house in Kakapora which he had purchased recently after which his son Nawaz Ahmad was also arrested and booked under PSA.
