5-Day Skill Dev training for Jammu H&P deptt Employees concludes
JAMMU, MAY 15: A Five Day skill Development Programme organised by Hospitality & Protocol (H&P) Jammu as part of the month -long training series for the employees concluded today. The training series forms one of the key component of the endeavours initiated by the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Hospitality and Protocol Department, J&K.
The programme being the second in the series of the month-long training was organized in collaboration with Hotel KC City Centre , Jammu . The training also included Live Demonstration for the staff and hands-on upon the finest practices in the industry so that they learn the latest and the best.
The program was attended by around sixty officers /officials of the Jammu division which include the Assistant Directors, Assistant Housekeepers, Receptionists, Catering Supervisors, Cooks, Table boys etc.
The Capacity Building programme was organised with the aim to enhance requisite skills of the officials so as to provide quality services to the Guests through different related aspects viz.
Front Office Reception, Housekeeping, Hospitality etiquettes, In- House Dining, Room Services, Kitchen, F&B & hygiene in food production.
The training endeavoured to impart among the officials the best skills, knowledge of the latest trends, modern ways & techniques to ensure the Guest satisfaction.
The overall programme was held under the aegis of Joint Director H&P, Jammu Ansuya Jamwal, who articulated about the significance of such training and gave insights as how the program has been devised keeping in mind multifarious role of the staff members right from Front office-reception, allied functions and responsibilities including new trends in F&B and the importance of coordination and cooperation among various departments. She also thanked the management and staff of the Hotel for collaboration with the department in successful conduct of the program.
